Rod Ball Mill For Gold Ore Processing Plant

Rod Ball Mill, also know as Rod Grinding Mill,it's to grind the materials into powder by using steel rod instead of steel ball. Comparing to the ball mill, the main difference is that the appearence of the grinding media is different, the ball mill is loaded round balls, and ROD ball mill is loaded with steel rod as the grinding media,which can grind the materials with better effect. For the lining plates there are mainly there types, steel type, rubber and ceramic type, each has its own specific applications. The Rod ball mill can be divided into wet rod mill and dry rod mill accoding to different working conditions. Such as it's wet rod ball mill if it's used for gold ore beneficiation plant, as it needs to add water during the grinding process. It's dry rod ball mill when it's used for chemicals powder grinding plant, as there is no water presents during the grinding.

Rod ball mill can be used for various kinds of ore processing plant, such as gold ore, zinc ore, lead ore, graphite ore, cobalt ore, bauxite ore, etc, it grinds the ore with water to liberate the ore from thegangue, after classifying, the slurry will go to the mineral separator to concentrate the ore and the rejected ore will be returned to the rod ball mill for regrinding. When it's used for chemical grinding plant, the length is different, the longer the length, the finer the particle can become; commonly used is with 2-3 chambers, each chamber is loaded with stell rod with different sizes. the first chamber is loaded with big steel rod, the middel is loaded with medium size and the third is loaded with small size.

The diameter of rod ball mill can be 900-4500mm, and the length can be up to 13m. the max feeding size is less than 25 mm, and the output fineness is 200-425 mesh. capacity can be up to 150 t/h.

For the components of rod ball mill, it mainly consists of the mill shell, bearing,diaphragm, transmission device(motor and reducer) and lubrication station. It grinds the materials into fine particles mainly by using the impact and grinding force, when the mill rotates, the grinding ball is lifted to some height along with the materials, then the they are dropped down due to the gravity effect, the balls will impact the materials and break it into smaller particles, and the materials is ground during it`s lifted to certain height. It will repeat the previous movement until the materials become the required size.

Besides the clinker, the cement ball mill can also be used for the other materials, such as slag, chemicals, coal, quartz, etc.
